Anyone know where a team support tutorial is? I already tried creating 2 more .skin files named model_red and model_blue that are being applied to the right jpg's and I have a correct glm file... Anyway the questions still stands.

What exactly is your problem? Team colors not working, or the team colors not showing up in the menu?

If it's the latter, then your problem is likely that you neglected to add icons for the red/blue team variants.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

I haven't come across any team support tutorials, it'd probably be best posting the file here so we can see the problem and tell you how to fix it.

just copy the model.glim then paste it back then rename it model_red then do paste it again and rename it to model_blue. I think thats what I did to make team skins on models that didn't have them.

Thanks Kouen, that's probably it. Now I feel all dumb for not thinking of it...

That's exactly what I did, kinda strange that the original icon didn't show up for the red/blue teams...

It doesn't, the icons have to be defined as individual files, even if you use the same image. Something related to the process of 'hidden' skins - if the default icon was used for all available .skin files by... er... default, then it would be impossible to have hidden skins, and iD Software had quite a few hidden ones in Quake 3 Arena.

My guess is that rather than adding a new code module and complicating a system they'd already developed on the whim of an afterthought, they merely set the 'default skin icon' parameter to blank for all .skin files except _default, then via a little syntaxing convinced the engine to associate the appended parameter of the .skin file's filename with a similar appended parameter on the icon files. Brilliant in it's simplicity, really - amend what you've got instead of getting more to serve the same purpose.
