I just noticed that alot of my maps now have gridlines for skyboxes, sand, bushes, lighting, ect. on many maps. Does the game have a texture limit, or are there some maps that simply screw up the others? This a common problem?

It's a common problem... I once had Tatooine from SJC and Mygeeto. I don't know why, but the sky was envelopped in red dust hehe. I would suggest you to delete every map and try them out 1 by 1. But before you try them, open your game, to see if those textures have affected basejka. If it did, all I can say is reinstall the game, a new clean version. Copy that game and paste it in the same folder under the name "COPY of Star wars ;..." So once something goes wrong, you always can use the other one as a backup.

Well I fixed one map. FFA Sniper Wars, or called something like that conflicts with Christmas in City __, something, turning the fog in that map into this SUPER thick red haze:uhoh: I really want to play Jabba's Palace, but the entire outside looks like Tron and the lighting inside are just gray strips that block your view:mad: Is it possible for weapons to conflict with textures on maps? Surprised there's no mod or nothing that has been made to fix this issue. EDIT: Ok, I looked over the old maps I rarely touched and yup, the lighting in one had the same override glitch. I removed EVERYTHING, and it runs fine. I added all my weapon mods, runs fine. I added all my models..... and.... it's messed up again shockingly. How a model overrides the base lighting is strange. Now comes a slow evaluation of the models and skins. Man I hope it's not one of my must have ones.... Annoyingly, the lighting is only one of my issues I have to painstakingly figure out. There's also a few textures and that skybox problem I had. Once I figure out whats messing up the lights, I have to do it all over again to figure out the rest. Why the game has such problems is just stupid. Any other game similar to this doesn't face this kind of problem. They only crash when you override a file because some fool names the file the same as existing ones. Iunno, maybe this situation is similar. But what do models and lighting have in common? I didn't think the characters were beaming rays of light out of themselves, least I didn't see anything that weird.

Had the same thing here. You will have to choose one of the maps. Painfull moment in your life, I know :lulz: Anway for the models I doubt that it's the case (I'm no professional tho!). Instead if removing every model, try to keep the ones you regularly play with or the must have ones, and remove the rest. If it doesn't create a conflict, add a model, and try again. You can determine then which model it is and.... you'll have to choose again. You'll have to speak with a pro modeller or mapper for that, but I do think that some files override eachother, which create those grey squares with white borders..

I have a feeling the Gray Fox model might be one. It's the only shiny metallic model I got. The others are the same. Well that's my theory. Finished checking all my maps I currently have. Aside from FFA Sniper Wars and Christmas in City 6B, Bespin Skys, New Bespin W/E, or Bespin 2100 W/E conflict with Gulf of Souls, turning the outside light posts into squares. Oh well, don't like Bespin anyways. Who had the bright idea of railing the ledges!? Now that's no fun! EDIT: Wow, found the problem already. Do NOT use this model pack with your downloaded maps. http://jediknight3.filefront.com/file/Samurai_v2;32423 It was causing it all it seems so far. Messing up the sand, the skybox, lighting, reflective textures. I don't get it. This was one of the first things I downloaded. There's more than meets the eye IMO.

Sometimes shaders in a map or on a model/skin may interfere with those in other mods. That is often the cause of textures going missing in maps which worked fine before. Like you said above, it was probably something in that file which was causing a conflict with your other mods.

I thought of that and wanted to say the same, but I was not sure if the shader on a model could corrupt the texture (or lights) of a map, so I kept my mouth shut heh.

If one of the maps you installed is SJC's Kamino, you won't be able to run Singleplayer until you remove it from your Base folder. I think there are more maps that have such effect on Singleplayer portion of the game. Console report you get when you try to run Singleplayer should tell you the names of those maps. At least it does for me.
