I have this problem before, basically it means that someone has deleted one of the files in the directory where you installed JKA. What you need to do is follow these steps: 1. Check your recycle bin for any files formerly from the JKA directory 2. (If you dont find any) Replace the .pk3 files in the JKA directory with the ones on the CD 3. (If 2 didnt fix the problem) Try completely deleting the JKA directory, then run the uninstall program from the control panel in "add and remove programs." If the problem was with the files and not your computer, then it will give a message along the lines of "the specified program and directories cannot be found, do you wish to remove JKA from the list of programs?" click yes, and it will be sorted. 4.(if 3 fails) If 3 has failed, then your computer's registry files have some kind of error (either a virus or a write error). This means that you are gonna have to completely re-intall windows, or load up form a drive image file (if you use Norton Driveimage or Norton Ghost, or any similiar programs)

Right the source code has been screwed up due to a bad file copy process. You just uninstall and reinstall.

There are two ways to get it off your registry. Option 1: Completely back up any files you wish to keep onto a cd or whatever, and then reinstall your whole pc option 2: not sure how this works but use "regedit" in the "run..." bit of the start menu, the problem is i never do this (so i can't tell you how), and it can completely meltdown ur pc if u make a teensy mistake.

It's actually not that difficult, you just need to find the Lucas Arts registry folder, and delete that.
