I went to Yoda's help desk, but it didn't help me. I am a bona fide idiot. Can someone give my step by step, idiot proof, instructions on how to host an internet game on my computer for my friends? Every time I try, I don't show up on the server search list apparently. Like I said, Yoda's Help Desk didn't answer my question.

You have to open up you're ports from you're firewall or router.

Don't ask me what ones they are, though. I don't know.

i know the ports

The specific UDP ports that Jedi Academy uses are 28060, 28061, 28062, and 28070 through 28081 (inclusive.)

straight from the troubleshooting document

I just felt stupid for not knowing how to run an MP game for a program I've had for years. I thought that it was just me. Maybe I'm not an idiot after all. I'll have to re-evaluate my life...

Check out the Chop Shop's Server Education Tutorial: Chop Shop Servers Education and always tell yourself: "I'm good enough" "I'm smart enough" "And, doggonit, people like me" TB
