Why katana swords still have lightsabers beneath it? -1 reply

Hi. I've downloaded some files from this site and i really like it. Models, skins and animations work well on my game, but not weapons. Custom weapons, like katana, buster sword, excalibur, etc, etc appears though, but what is so annoying is that they still have lightsaber beneath it!!! It seems that some command for the .sab files like "no blade", "no Roll_stab" does not work on my game, since the game says that they are unknown keywords. What should I do to make it works?

The problem is that whoever made the .sab files didn't know the right commands.

the correct command for not having a glowing blade is "noBlade2 1" that stops the blade from forming, if you replace the 1 with a 0 then the saberblade will appear.

If you also want to remove dynamic glow and if you want to remove the light flash that happens when two blades meet then you should add these two to the .sab-file:

noDlight2 1 noClashFlare2 1

And these are the settings for how to stop the player from using a certain attack:

//optionally disallow certain types of moves and attacks noRollStab 0 - if set, cannot do roll-stab move at end of roll noPullAttack 0 - if set, cannot do pull+attack move (move not available in MP anyway) noBackAttack 0 - if set, cannot do back-stab moves noStabDown 0 - if set, cannot do stabdown move (when enemy is on ground) noWallRuns 0 - if set, cannot side-run or forward-run on walls noWallFlips 0 - if set, cannot do backflip off wall or side-flips off walls noWallGrab 0 - if set, cannot grab wall & jump off noRolls 0 - if set, cannot roll noFlips 0 - if set, cannot do flips noCartwheels 0 - if set, cannot do cartwheels noKicks 0 - if set, cannot do kicks (can't do kicks anyway if using a throwable saber/sword) noMirrorAttacks 0 - if set, cannot do the simultaneous attack left/right moves (only available in Dual Lightsaber Combat Style)

The correct code is still "noblade 1". The reason why the blade is still there is...

... that the line has any function only if the game is patched. Yours isn't.

Actually, the problem is that you havent updated your game. Jedi Knight Academy Patch 1.01, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Others Download and install the patch and everything will work fine.

I'm sorry, I had to prevent a butchering of the Japanese language. Katana means sword. Therefore, Katana sword is redundant.
