Well, first off, hello everyone!

Needing help with something, I bet this is an easy one, but who knows...

See, I had the 'Bendak's Assault Armor' mod, and have recently installed the 'Brotherhood of Shadow' mod... and both make use of the n_mandalorian04 texture! Sure, I could just live with Bendak's armor being Teal(or placing back Bendak's and making whatever armor is on Brotherhood gray), but I am a bit of a perfectionist and want Bendak's armor to remain unique, and to see the teal armor in 'Brotherhood' as it should be!

I found the armor that uses it on Brotherhood(mand_armor_red), but it is not as easy as just opening it with kotor tool; when I do so it shows the disguise as being 'ERROR'(and crashing the tool when I try to open it). So... how do I edit that field - and whatever else needs to be edited within or outside the .uti - to place it as a new disguise, linking to, say, 'n_mandalorian05'?

Well, I'd begin with uninstalling both mods and then reinstalling it. Which mod did you install first, Brotherhood or Bendak armour?

Alright... so, if I'm correct and read it right, you want to keep the unique Mandalorian armor - whilst both have the same filename? If so, just add that file(the one of the unique) Mandalorian armor, as last, as it will overwrite the other one. That's a way how you can keep certain items as is. Another way is, however, just not-to-install that specific file, aka the one you don't want to have.

No, actually, what I want to know is how to edit the file so it uses a different name! Which is easy enough in most masks and items, but this one uses a Disguise that 'doesn't exist' as far as the 'KotOR Tool' is concerned.

You need to edit your appearance.2da file, copy one of the Alien_Mandalorian lines and paste it as a new line at the end of the appearance.2da, change the number to the next number in sequence, and rename it to Alien_Mandalorian_05 (or whatever one you want it to be). Make sure you change the racetex to N_Mandalorian05 (or whatever number you chose). Open kotor tool and go to options, tell it to look in override for more files, then open bendaks .uti file and put in the disguise function under the properties tab, and select your newly created mandalorian disguise option at the end of the subtype. Should work like a champ after that.
