What do you have to download to open the .nss and/or the .ncs files? Where can you find this secretly devious little program that runs these things?! :(:eek::mad::eek::(SERIOUSLY?!!!:(:eek::mad::eek::(

.nss can be opened in any text editor, and .ncs is the compiled version of the .nss, not human readable.

Yes, but HOW do you forge an .nss into a .ncs. And if you use a .nss file in the override, will it work like an .ncs or will it just be a file that the game don't read?

Now that's what I call a spectacular revival! :lol:

1. No, nss is not recognized. Is the same as if you would try to put a .bmp for a texture. Epic fail. 2. Google might be a power-mongering concern of napoleonic dimension to some people but it can still help you find stuff. I don't say "don't ask us" but that way, it would have been much faster... :lol: How to compile scripts? - LucasForums Anyway, scripting sin't anything you learn in an hour or so, just to tell you... I failed miserably :D

I tried the link you gave me, it worked, and I recognize the program, but whenever I run it, it shuts down on me, like the computer runs the program for a second to three seconds on average, then the program closes and does the exact same when I rerun it. Nothing happens when I use it, even following the directions, it's supposed to bring up a selection screen to select a folder with nss files to be compacted, but it don't...bottom line, the program don't work for me.

Ok. NEW question, my old one is still having problems. Does ANYBODY know where I can find the 003EBO.map file for the Kotor Tool's map folder. Fred Tetra hasn't updated his download page in ages...and I can't make my owm .map files, so I need this file to edit the ebon hawk for my big idea of making a PERSONAL USE HAMMERHEAD-Class Assault ship to use. (Instead of travelling to planets with the Ebon Hawk, using the Big Harbinger instead). But to use it, I need things from the Ebon Hawk, and I need to use the ebon hawk layout to place a certain device on board along with a circle of rings to implicate a "teleporter" or a "meditation" ring. They'll take you to the harbinger, with parts of the connecting modules leading to the Ravager's corridors. This big hammerhead-class ship will be able to land (dock) with my own made mod planets...it'll have a hangar where the ebon hawk lands by using the Telos Hangar module. My mods will have docking areas where you can't see the other side (that way I don't have a huge ship placed somewhere like where there's no way it could be there...the Shyrack caves for instance) I'll use a door like the Nar Shadaa cantina connection to place it there...it'll be an amazing mod once I'm finished with it, and all I have left to do is make the connections between modules, and place items.

Also, one of the reasons I wanted to edit scripts is for my new teleporter idea. A guy named Agent X is on my planet "Nexubis," in the sith academy like on Malachor. His script is currently set up so that he has a 5 .utc file for each teleportation, and each one has an on death script. When he dies, he deletes himself, and spawns the next teleportation of himself across the room, then you kill that one, and his death deletes himself again and spawns another one at the other end of the room, it does this five times, the fifth one dies and disappears like Nihilus did on the ravager...it's amazing because he appears again in the final battle with Nexus.
