Ok...Ive been working on models for kotor alot lately..however when Ive gone to export them out of gmax in mdl format....i get something called a "Sanity check error"...any idea what causes this and/or how to fix it?..... Heres a screen of the error....happens on just about every weapon I make...I can continue the export and even run the model through MDLops...but then it wont show up in game...doesnt crash usualy..just doesnt work....so any ideas? sanityerror.jpg

I have no idea why this comes up, but it seems to be a "problem" with all KotOR and TSL modelling. To be honest, probably the simplest thing to do is to turn Sanity Checks off. If you select the AuroraBase, and then click on the 'Modify' tab, you should see this: losingsanity1.jpg Except, in your case, with the "Do Sanity Checks" box ticked. If you untick it, you should cease to get the error. I've no idea what _causes_ the error, mind, but it doesn't seem to affect models in-game, in any case.

It has been some time.

Ok...I was unsure if this error effected the models ingame or not...since I dont always get it..and they tend to work better ingame when I dont...

Turn sanity checks off. Sanity check errors are irrelevant when it comes to modeling for KotOR and really more of an annoyance than anything.

HMMM....oddly enough I dont have the option to turn them off....where you have those check boxes under the export buttons..I do not....any idea why?
