Hi, I currently have a mod that uses a mask model as part of it. I like the mask but also want to recolor it and use it AS WELL AS the current one. So I still want to use the actual model, therefore I need to rename the current .mdl and .mdx files AND get it to use a different .tga file. I figure that way I can have the colored version for me without changing the one that is currently in use by the mod. Could someone pls tell me how I can do this? Thx
The texture-file used for an item is declared in the .uti-file of the item. So if I'm not completely wrong about this, it is just a matter of making a new .uti and a new texture-file, then input the tecture-id in the .uti. (texture-id has another name but it's on the right bottom side of the first layer of the .uti in kotortool :D ) At least that's what I think it is... :Puzzled:
I thought of that as I have done it for robes etc, but the .uti file does not have a texture setting ONLY a setting for which model to use.
