WARNING: To KotOR Comic Reads there are spoilers. Has anyone read the KotOR comics. Well I made a discovering on wookiepedia that Alek is Malak and Revanchist is Revan. That's how they looked in the Mando Wars.

Revanchist is the stupidest name I've ever heard... well, right after Malak's supposed last name. Whoever came up with those names needs to be shot.

Oh c'mon!! I would take Squinquargesimus over Solo or Skywalker any day!! Such a nice and strong name, and for all we know it could very well be the "Smith" or "Jones" of the Star Wars universe. Revanchist is a good name too, designed to stand out as a hidden reference to all those Revan fans!! I mean, they think highly of reader's mentality to propose such a complex monicker!! Why, I would love it if the very same person designing these wonderful names were to be chosen to give us The Jedi Exile's real name, say, something like Exilendria or Alexile... and what about James Nahasanamapetilan for Nihilus?... oh but they want good Zayne Carrick to be that one... Don't tell J Carter!!

Zayne Carrick is not Darth Nihilus.

Its well known that Obsidian intended Nihilus to be the other half of the Exile - that when the Exile gave up the force part of him that refused to let go manifested itself into Nilihus.

Such was Obsidian's intent, true, but first, it is not canon, and second, you should read the comics and the reader's suspicions on this. Besides, as I recall, in an interview with one of the comic writers he hinted as much. I will get back on this once I get the proper, official interview at hand. I would love it if Nihilus were The Jedi Exile's dark ego manifested, but my likes or dislikes play no role whatsoever in writers' choices.

That would be fine for a fantasy game, but this is Star Wars. We have the Force, but otherwise it's a realistic fiction. Meaning an 'mystical entity' doesn't just manifest itself into a physical form. What next, fog monsters?

Lordjedi;4176569Revanchist is Revan.

Just a minor correction, it's The Revanchist. It's not that it's his name, it's a title derived from his name. But Inyri's right, it is pretty stupid. Worse though is Malak's last name. In my opinion, the names they were originally created with were fine enough, and didn't need any additions/changes or surnames for their "original" names. Malak is just like Malik, with one letter changed. Heck, Malak is probably a real name in its own right.

Someone just felt the need to bastardize KotOR. I swear if that is or ever becomes canon I will deny its existence with every last Star Wars related breath I have, because the name Sanguinsquishiness or whatever Malak's last name is just kills a few of my brain cells every time I see it in print.

Hm, judging from the wide variety of species in Star Wars, fog monsters could exist. I always believed that a "honorable, honest politician" is a being that can't exist, by no means.

There was Padme...but she's dead, and i can believe again=p

I didn't read the comics, but a manifestation of a 'mystical entity' ( qouted Inyri again...) is NOT Star Wars like. TSL isn't much Star Wars like imo. The entire story is too...'Fantasy' like.

Reminds me more of Lord of the Rings ( Sauron!!...in a twisted way ) and other Fantasy storys ( Ghostbusters? ).
