Does anyone here have a single favorite lightsaber form? Generally I have two favorites, Shien and Niman (Forms V and VI). This one was a tossup for me so I flipped a coin and decided to vote for Niman.
i never realy use a form but why is vaapad a form? Mace Windu invented it:confused:
definitely Juyo
I still prefer the o'l Makashi form. Juyo is my second favorite.
Formerly known as Graeme and Arld.
My favorites are Soresu and Juyo/Vaapad i prefer Soresu, though, i know, its common to have two favorites. Vaapad is like an improvement to Juyo, making it more "complete" besides, its customized to suit Master Windu, i think this is sort of like how Form V are Shien/Djem So, two variation of the same form.

Yeah, exactly. Though Vaapad wasn't customized to suit Windu, it was CREATED by Windu. And the difference between Shien and Djem So is that Djem So was built specifically for lightsaber combat while Shien was built for more defensive purposes, like deflect blaster fire. Though both forms can be used vice-versa if the practitioner was skilled enough. Me myself, I like Shien more than Djem So. If perfected enough, I can have a well fortified defense as well as some offensive and counter-offensive manuevers. That's why I like Shien more, there's more room to improve. :)
This is in the wrong section.
Aside from that, if you want it related to KoTOR, then Vapaad shouldn't be up there. Not to mention that none of the Forms are in KoTOR, but are in TSL.
In all honesty though, none of them.
I prefer the techniques taught during the NJO era - The Three Rings of Defence.
It's virtually the same as what is in JKII and JK:JA for single saber styles.
hard to say i dont know whiether to choose makashi or shein but i have to go with shein mainly becasue of its all rounded diversity it has strength yet it has a very well formed defence which i find to be a welcomed company, and if your good enough with it you can still utalize it with single opponents easy
Ataru is my favorite. I really love Juyo too, but I like Ataru better.
Why choose one in particular? I would rather do as most famous Force-users have done and master all of them. The mark of memorable swordmasters is to bring all techniques together seamlesly, I guess my approach would be that of a lyric fighter, who never learned or cared about how the move or form is called, and yet uses it flawlessly. The three rings of swordplay in the NJO era are loosely based in the old Forms, and are much more practical in my opinion. Perhaps an even more fluid mix of the seven (eight if you take Dooku's unfinished one into consideration) Forms would be my choice. :lookaround:
