I just started to play KOTOR again but this time when I created my character and this time when I start a new game and start the Endar Spire level, the texture on the floors are a distorted, flickering, mass of pixelated textures and if I position my camera on a certain angle, the floor texture reverts back to normal but when I move the camera again, it goes back to the pixelated textures, I tried to restart the game, I uninstalled my mods and uninstalled the game and re-patched it using the launcher, and even then, the floor textures are still pixelated.
I am using Windows 8 and I have the disk version of the game and I tried running the game in different capability modes and different graphics settings but still no fix, any ideas?

There are several things that could cause texture glitches. These being in order of checking:
- You have outdated [and in some cases, them being too new] or corrupt drivers. If so, either rollback or update/reinstall them dependent on the scenario;
- You have a corrupt or outdated version of DirectX;
- Corrupted game files due to a bad installation or imminent hard-drive failure (check the latter after the next point);
- Applications installed on your OS which might cause problems;
- GPU overheating issue.

I tried all those and nothing seems to correct it, it used to work fine back in the past, and I'm still playing the game on the same computer for years, the only thing I can think of is I updated by computer recently using Windows update, I also checked out the Steam forums and Windows 8 users are having the same problem as me, so really, the only coarse of action is to wait for Microsoft to release another update?
I have also just tried KOTOR 2 and it has the same problem and I know as a fact that I played KOTOR 2 before my Windows 8 update and the textures were fine and normal, since the update its been pixelated, is there any course of action at all?
