There is always KSE. You can max out everything with that. . . . And get items too! http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/KOTOR_and_TSL_Save_Game_Editor_English_Language_Only;68852 Try that. It's useful!

Thanks. I thought as much this is the only way to go...! Why, this game has set so many limitations on players I really fail to understand why it got so many awards...sigh

I read the walkthrough and it suggests persuading someone to tell you about something...but the problem is, my character is a Jedi Guardian and doesn't have persuade skill. What else can I do??? Just don't tell me this quest is undoable without persuation...

Well, you can always try using Force Persuade(that is, if you took Affect and Dominate Mind powers), although you say that you do not have persuade? I think that if you are a Jedi that the persuade skill IS a class skill, no matter which class(and if you have high enough charisma, you do not need to spend skill points on persuade, since persuasion skill does not need to be trained to be able to use it, unlike security or demolitions, but since you said that you are a Guardian, I would assume that you did not spend too much points on CHA, WIS and INT).

You guys had problems with that trial? as long as you found all the evidence, it should be a open and shut case if you want to save his life, lie, even though it's a dark side point, it's better then letting the sith kill him.
