Hi. Computer has: 2.8 pentium 4 proccessor, a little over a gig of ram, and BFG nvida Geforce 6600 gt oc. (and I've updated KOTOR to version 1.03.514077 English, which is I believe up to date, since it won't let me update any more then that with the updater)
And for some reason ever since I got this game, it crashes constantly with no warning (Most of the time I'm just walking around in the level, although it happens while in combat too). My computer screen changes to all blue (with white type) and it tells me the physical memmory needs to be dumped. I called dell, and they suggested I up the virtual memmory, did that (a few times), and the problem still occurs. It's getting really frustrating, since it happens about once every fifteen minutes or so while playing (give or take), and I have to restart my computer every time it happens. It only happens when I play KOTOR, although I may have seen the screen once or twice over the last two years while doing other unrelated things as well. Any suggestions at all as to what I should do/could do would be great. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
ive had this problem too but i never got a message sayin anything...i noticed when i get captured on that ship and go to elevator that is a spot where my game always crashes at least once. any other time its really random. i dont know how to fix it either though:(
Dell Computers have had these problems before with The Blue Screen of Death. I've seen it, in fact. I couldn't explain to you why, but something's just jacked up with how they're made.
If you can find another computer that isn't a Dell that you can play KOTOR on, try that.
Yeah, for some reason my game always crashes at that elevator bit too, but I don't get that blue screen there. Not sure why. Anyway, I was just playing again and the message came up again, said something about the "IRQL" Drive(r?) not being equal or less. I have no idea what it means. Pretty sure its nothing to do with my graphics driver, since I'm pretty sure thats all updated, but I guess I'll try to update that again and see what happens. Still, if that clears any thing up for anyone else... thanks again
