So I'm lagging on Datooine and all over there are these simple fixes like getting an updated patch from the time and adding "Remove vectors buffers=1" or something like that to one of the data files. Well that doesn't seem to work, and I already know that not only are my drivers up to date but my video card is above and beyond the requirements of this ancient game, so what can a guy running this game on vista do to fix the datooine lag?

In my experience, this is one of the more likely suspects for your problem. A hardware & driver compatibility issue.

Put simply, it's possible your graphics card & the drivers version are too new for it.

Well, what make & model of graphics card do you have? Also, what drivers and version of them are you using?

I've heard that ATI cards haven't always been at their best with KoTOR & TSL. I never had any problems myself, except for using later versions of the Catalyst drivers than what were compatible with the games.

The only other help I can really give is to follow this link.

Hopefully you'll be able to find more/better help there, if nobody else on here can provide better help.

They won't let me post there for some reason. Also, I'm thinking of installing Kotor2, do you think I'll have the same problems, or will the software be compatible?
