thejadefalcon;4157289*shudders* I think I'll stick to cheating. For starters, I've never managed to make Bao-Dur a Jedi. The conversation options for him are pretty much "hello" and "goodbye". I once gained Hanharr's trust, but the savegame back bugged and I never worked out how to do it again. EDIT: Why should I have Kriea in my party? I try to keep her away from me! *grin*

You don't have Kreia in your party?! :nono: You should always have Kreia in your party because she gets you more influence. Up to 7% more, I believe. If you don't have her in your party, you're basically throwing away all that XP. What level do you usually get to, 25? :p As for Bao-dur...I don't even care about hime anymore. I just use KSE to get max influence. Yes, I'll admit it; I'm a cheater. As you said, his conversation options are basically "hello" and "goodbye", he's got only three damned lines after Telos, and frankly I think that's a good thing, considering you can't understand what he's saying half the time anyway. I don't know what happened with Bao-dur...it's like the writers just forgot about him after he asked you why you don't carry a lightsaber anymore. There's no benefit to having him in your party, since he never actually says anything (except during the four side quests that gain you influence with him), so I just keep him on the ship, and before Dxun part 2 I up the influence with KSE to make him a Jedi.

Crap! I don't get past level 25.... Huh. I've always wondered why that is. And now I know... I hate Bao-Dur too. "Yes, General?" I just wanna Force Crush him!

Yup, that's why. Last time I played (just finished yesterday, as a matter of fact), I topped off at level 30. And no, I didn't use any cheats (except the ones I have admitted to already :p) or abuse the Hsssissssssiss glitch. Here's another strategy: Once you hit level 15, ask Kreia for a prestige class immediately; you'll jump to level 16 for free! Oh, and... BAO-DUR: Yes, General? EXILE: Nothing. Damn you, Iridonian! Well, at least it's better than his monologue about the rage boiling up to the surface or some such. And yet he has some of the funniest lines in the game--"I'll take the stupid one who decided to threaten us rather than shoot us when he had the chance." Haha!

Yeah, that was his only good line.

You're confused. You meant XP. :)

What level do you usually get to, 25? :p

Nope. Tends to be 28 or 29 if I remember correctly. But 25 would probably be enough to complete the game. Hell, 20 would probably do.

considering you can't understand what he's saying half the time anyway.

"La Forge to Captain, the universal translators failed again. I'd advise you to pause negotiations with the Star Wars fandom because you remember what happened with the Ori, don't you?" Picard shivers. "Thank you for the notification, Geordi." Starts searching for the Supergate... ... Damn... that would be an awesome fic. Star Wars and Star Trek versus the Ori... *copyrights*

(except during the four side quests that gain you influence with him)

Side quests? There's the lightsabre one... and that's it to my knowledge.

abuse the Hsssissssssiss glitch.

Hssiss glitch? What's that? Hiss hiss, hiss hiss.

Whoops! Yes, I meant XP, of course. Anyway...it's definitely worth it, and it's not like Kreia's a bad fighter (quite the contrary), and with her Force chain ability, your PC can basically get a whole bunch of powers for free. By side quests, I mean the regular side quests. There are a handful (but not many) that give you influence with BD. To name a few: giving a starport visa to the Republic Spy (even though he's a jerk), having him check your work when repairing the airspeeder, giving Akerre his hydrospanner and not ratting him out to Khoonda, having him check the atmospheric sensors...those are the only four I can think of at the moment. And you get influence by being nice to him after you free him from Atris (as in, don't all him a weak fool...even though he kind of is at that point :p). The infamous Hssiss glitch is that at one point in the Tomb of Ludo Kresh, you can infinitely spawn Hssiss. When you find the corpse of Dustil Ona--I mean, "Jedi Nebelish", you can keep selecting his remains and two Hssiss spawn each time you do so, even though it's only supposed to happen once. The glitch is kind of useless for LSers since there's a ridiculously slow FP regen rate in the area, and it's kind of cheating, so I never use it. The Hssiss each give you 400 XP (unless you level up; the amount of XP you gain for killing an enemy goes down exponentially when you level up in an area-another thing to keep in mind: don't level up until all the enemies in an area are dead for the most XP).

Yes, but she's so phregging annoying. She's always... looking at me. Just staring. And it's just creepy. I swear, that look on her face... she's planning to harvest my organs and eat them.

giving Akerre his hydrospanner and not ratting him out to Khoonda

Who rats him out if you help Khoonda? I always just draft him. Sucker...

When you find the corpse of Dustil Ona--I mean, "Jedi Nebelish"

Okay, damn you. Now you're making me want to reinstall K2 just to check the body...

since there's a ridiculously slow FP regen rate in the area

It's even slower than the combat regeneration. I hate that part of the game. Hate it with a fiery vengeance.

(unless you level up; the amount of XP you gain for killing an enemy goes down exponentially when you level up in an area-another thing to keep in mind: don't level up until all the enemies in an area are dead for the most XP).

Oh, that sucks. Why? You have to get an extra 5000 XP from your last level and they make it even harder to do it? BURN, OBSIDIAN, BURN! JADE IS MUCH BETTER! *cough* Right, moving swiftly on... The Jedi Council explained your levelling up in K2 as absorbing Force energy. But what about Revan's levelling up?

 OK, a few things: 1. Yup, it's Dustil. You can tell from the side burns. He was originally going to be deranged and attack the player thinking they were a vision (funny scene, actually). But they ran out of time so just left his corpse with a datapad. 2. I think if you make Akerre join the militia, you don't get influence with Bao-dur. You have to release him, then ask him to join later on. 3. Heh...Kreia is creepy like that. But all the NPCs do that to you. 4. Revan's explanation is that he's relearning what he already knew. And with the Sith Assassins, it's that the stronger their prey is, the stronger they are. Kreia's explanation is the same as Revan's, and it goes for the droids as well (except T3 in K1). The Jedi party members in K2...well, that one is obvious. Still no word on everyone else. Yes, I've overanalyzed this. 5. That place is indeed annoying. Fortunately, by then I've picked the two regeneration feats, and +4 VP regen from my gear. :p Just don't use too many Force powers and it's only midly annoying. 6. Yes, Obsidian's system is kind of annoying. But it's fair. Because once you level up, you've got a serious advantage over all your enemies. So killing them doesn't reward you as much. Just wait to level up once everyone's dead. What is even more annoying is that the enemies stop getting tougher at level 20, which is why the endgame is so damn easy. That explains it, doesn't it? Nihilus, Atris, and Sion are always at least five levels below you, and Nihilus is outnumbered 3 to 1. Actually, the last time I fought Nihilus, I actually punched him to death with my bare hands. :D
