Well, I've done all the planets except for Onderon on my balance character, but whenever I try and load the merchant square it gets stuck and the game freezes. Anyone have an idea why?

Also, I have a fixed exe of Kotor 2, since the real one has a weird error, something to do with a library or something, sometimes it automaticly says that it isn't responding, while other times it doesn't. Once I had to run the application over 100 times before the game would launch.

Well, for starters there might be a problem with the .exe file you're using, since you've just admitted it's not exactly legal, and therefore falls under the catgory of "warez discussion", which is more than just frowned on by the powers that be around here.

To be honest though, I don't see how an "alternate" .exe could solve the starup problems you had.

If it's not your "replacement" .exe that's the problem, do you have any mods installed? If so, it could be a problem from them, or a conflict between multiple mods.

As for your problem with trying hundreds of times for the game to start, I was having that for a while aswell. In my case, it was down to problems in the configuration of TSL.

Replace the original .exe file, then run the config from the launcher, or use the config icon in the game directory. After that, turn the sound off in the config program.

Save the new config, then try starting up the game.

If that solves the startup problems, then the problem is to do with your sound hardware. It could be anything from DirectX problems, to hardware drivers problems.

If you have any hardware that has its own audio drivers, this can also cause problems with KoTOR and TSL. (Trust me, from personal experience, it can.) In this case, make sure that the default audio provider for all things on your computer is your PC's main soundcard/onboard chipset. Even if you have to disconnect something to get the default audio provider back, do it.

If however, disabling sound doesn't help at all, then your problem is something else entirely different from audio hardware/software issues.

Well, I've found it is the sound, but everything seems normal - I don't see what the problem is.

Do you have any microphones, headsets (or combos of both), webcams with a mic in them etc that would have their own audio software?

My problem stemmed from having a USB-Headset & mic that overrides my soundcard as the default audio provider. KoTOR and TSL were the only games that provided a problem with this, so it was a case of changing back to the soundcard and normal headset to solve the problem.
