JCarter426;4063436I hope you all realize that Revan and the Exile only exist in your mind, because they have never appeared outside K1 and 2, in which they were customizable by you, the player. In other words, the Revan/Exile I see is much different than yours. And second, Nihilus would drain even Revan. It's sad but true.

Darth Banes book duh!

Yes, and the KOTOR comics--but in neither one are their personalities really expanded on; basically, it's just a reiteration of the backstory we already knew. Revan and the Exile's only true appearances are the original games.

well actullay you can't show the exile anywhere because he wore no mask or robe so you can't cover his face and show his face because no one knows what it looks like, but Revan wore a mask so people don't have to worry about how he looks so he is probaly in something else

That, and the Exile is a woman. And no, those are Revan's only appearances. And in Bane, it's just Revan's holocron. The reason these two don't appear anywhere is because there's outrage when so little as their gender is canonized. It's a shame, really.

Well, actually they are not that much un-defined. The game mechanics may be customizable, but the storyline and outcome are strictly defined. Through exploration of these, one could easily determine both character's motivations, expectations and even personalities. Of course, minor details as what they exactly said, how many times they visited a location, etc. are entirely up to the gamer's volition, but they are not important. The recognized facts, the ones turning into canon are enough to categorize Revan and The Exile,... even if some of us may not agree with such recognized outcomes... :uhm:

I suppose so. Still, it's all in the eye of the beholder. Certain players are err...biased to favor Revan more than the Exile.

It's Ok Jedijax I didn't think of it as a personal attack or possible flame baiting (I think that's the term). I just thought you might have thought I didn't know it was a hypothesis.

Revan with the exception of appearance can be defined in many aspects. I say this because the Revan you play in the game is a personality programmed by the council.

Also while I like Revan more, I believe both have strength's and weaknesses. While Revan is supposedly incredibly powerful (I say supposedly because the game gives no direct demonstration of his power although ripping a language out of a races head and then drilling in a new one is impressive since no other jedi or sith to my knowledge has done it) and is also a brilliant in terms of strategy and mechanics, he also might have been arrogant and also did not foresee his fall at Malak's betrayal despite his power. He was also a brilliant manipulator in that he turned thousands of loyal republic soldiers to his cause, keep in mind he did not have Palpatines years of training and experience.

The Exile has a wound in the force and we see and hear in game references to its potential as with Nihilus it requires a constant need for replenishment, still you gain incredible power in the mean time. But she is also not the brilliant strategist Revan is and could be out maneuvered in combat. The Exile also could use the force to learn at a frightening pace as demonstrated in the game and could learn techniques that evens the gap left by their tactics.

In my opinion they are fairly evenly matched.

:nodding: exactly what I think. Regardless of personal opinion, of "who I like the most," facts are facts. I may hate Anakin Skywalker, but that doesn't change the fact he is the chosen one.

Or extremely whiney and annoying at times, until he gets a helmet and a different voice.... Anyhooooo, on topic. In all honesty I like them both, but..... I prefer the Exile. No backstory other than she followed Revan to war against the Council's wishes, but was the only one to return to "face judgement", and had "mysteriously" lost her connection to the Force. She lived without feeling the Force, had resisted the lure of the Dark Side before, and was a respected General of Revan's forces. Respected by even Revan himself, who as others like to point out as a detractor to the Exile, made her a Jedi Knight. Revan must have seen great potential in her to do that, and to trust her with the Mass Shadow Generator project. As for the "Wound", it was created by the events of the activation of the Mass Shadow Generator at Malachor V, with the death of so many lives at once, and the neardestruction of a planet strong in Dark Side energies. This event transformed Nihilus into the ever hungering parasite that he was, and gave the Exile similar (but underdeveloped imo) power. The "Wound" was healed with the final destruction of Malachor V at the end of TSL. (Off Topic... again) Going off on a tangent however, both Revan and the Exile are two more prime examples of the Jedi Order (and in particular the Council) failing those in its own ranks, just as they failed Anakin nearly four millenia later. Their blind adherance to the Jedi Code, their arrogance and pretentions of self importance, have again and again landed the Order in great peril. If only they could have been more like Jolee.... Now he was truly wise. Both in the Force, and life itself.

I agree, but just one note: it's never said whether or not the wound was closed at Malachor.
