[possible spoilers]

Between the Light Side and Dark Side endings in both games, which did you find more satisfying? I don't mean how you got there, but the actual battle and what was said afterwards.

In the first game I found the Light Side ending more satisfying. Basically because you tell Malak just how wrong he was and he agrees. In the Dark Side ending, it's just the silly clich├ęd Sith killing Sith routine, and you've basically wasted your time doing all the bumf for the republic. The actual game was more fun with the Dark Side though.

In the second game I found the Dark Side ending more pleasing, because the force powers were more fun to use. The ending wasn't really different for either alignment though so it didn't make much of a difference - you still kill her in the end.

I think the facts are whats going to happen at KOTOR 3 is right here, a freind of mine is an important member of Lucasarts, heres how it is. At the end of KOTOR, Vander tells Revan, "you might be called upon again". I think this should happen a couple of years after KOTOR 2. The galaxy is restored, the Republic is saved, and the Sith crushed. Or so it seems... The Jedi Order has been rebuilt, with Atris as the head Jedi. The Jedi are detecting a new threat emerging, a deadly one, one that could bring 1,000 years of victory to the Sith, and death for the Jedi.

Revan returns, with urgent news that the Sith are about to attack again, and that the Mandalorian War, and the Sith Lords were merely a distraction to forward their plans for ultimate victory, the final sweep against the Jedi Order. Revan tells the Council thousands of Sith and Mandalorians are advancing in order to finally win. While the planner of all this is not found yet, the Jedi are investigating. It turns out, a Mandalorian senator in the Republic, who has hidden his identity very well, is infused with the Dark Side of the Force, and has planned the War, and will rule forever once the Jedi are wiped out.

With investigations going well, it seems the Sith have created a new weapon of mass-destruction, the Dark Reaper (from Clone Wars-the game.) The Reaper can be postioned to suck the energy from any force user. The Jedi forces, the Republic forces, the Sith, as well as the Mandalorians, all mass at Tatooine for an ultimate showdown.

As Revan, and the Jedi Exile plan to attack, all hangs in the balance as the galaxy heads into a new age of war. All will finally be explained, oh and your party members consist of old and new members alike. Enjoy!!

Nice old quadrupal post ;)

How does that story allow you to develop a character, or follow on from KotOR 1 and 2 if you chose the dark side path? That doesn't add up. Who is this friend from Lucasarts?
