Okay name all the programs you have first to me. Then tell me what you are wanting to build.

Okay, that is really really easy. Okay, first thing: You want to open up Kotor Tool then click Bif then go down to Blueprint items where you see all the .uti files. Go to a saber like w_lghtsbr_001.uti. Double-click it and it will bring up a window. The uti don't know if you know but it stands for utility. Okay, then you get four tabs in that window. Your Resref and tag you want to keep it the same as whatever you named your light saber. Then go into properties and you are finished with that. Now if you want to change the color you want to go to model variation and 1 is blue i think, 2 is red 3 is green and so on. Then you save that file to what I called my 'safehouse' in case of mistakes. Lastly you copy that file to your override folder in your lucasarts section on your computer. I don't know if you figured it out now or not but this is here for you. --Give me strength and I'll give you a fight--
