So, I have started working on a new mod, as you can tell!! All I can tell you is that it is mainly a sith mod and I will be working on it for an indefinite amount of time. (For those of you who don't know what that means, it means not known) I do have some problems/questions though... both are with dialog. How do you script a conversation to make it not say a certain thing until a condition is met? Do you have to apply a VO_ResRef file to an npc's dialog before he/she will talk to you? Thats all and, as always, any answers would be greatly appreciated!!!

What condition are you specifically talking about? You mean sort of a quest that needs some things to be done like someone being killed by you first? Or just to check if you're darksided? Concerning your second question: Nope. But it is much coller that way.

Actually, it would help to have scripts for the conditions of killing someone first and talking to another first... Ok thank you, and is there a certain script that allows dialog to occur?

As you might have figured out, scripting can be very complex. Concerning the first thing, this should be covered by the tutorial here: http://forums.filefront.com/sw-kotor2-modding-editing/211231-storyline-total-conversion-mod-tutorial.html (at least I think it does, if not, post it again). To trigger a special dialog option you created yourself (like you're walking down a street and suddenly Atton says (of course) "I have a bad feeling about this"), you will have to specify all you need for yourself (I suggest you go to HolowanLabs, there are lots of examples).

Actually, that storyline tutorial does not say anything about how to script at all. It just says something along the lines of "Go ask Darth333 or Redhawk or someone else...", and I have. I PM'd Darth333 and he still hasn't replied to me. About HolowanLabs, I do go there quite often, and they do have plenty of scripts. I'm just a little confused about some that I don't see there. I know you may think I am really dumb by asking these questions, but I have one more. It is really more of a problem. 1. After I plug in the coordinates for all of my npc's with the GFF editor, I went in game to see how it worked, and only one showed up. One that was not important to the storyline. I went back and checked to make sure all was well, but nothing. Any advice?

It doesn't say anything about these scripts? Really? Oh. I know I have a tutorial somewhere for making mods that contains a basic tutorial for all that kill-him-to-set-the-boolean-to-true-stuff... where then did I get the other one from? When I find it again, I'll tell you... Concerning you new question: Coordinates is a really hard issue... I hate that, they never appear where they should... nonetheless, you either chose a wrong area, read the wrong coordinates from the armband, accidently put them in wrong... or it's just one of those errors noone can explain. Sorry but I can't do that much from here... And by the way: (Almost) no question is "too dumb" to be asked. I mean, that's basically what we're here for.

Sorry, this has no connection to the thread but I just had to think of Legolas as a Matukai... in that case, the fact that there are never more than about 60 Matukai wouldn't matter really...
