I have a saber mod that I am trying to use, but the model and texture are not applying (it's like they don't exist) - all I get is the standard in-game saber

I added a new color crystal to the upcrystals.2da and that appears in the itemcreate list correctly (with the correct icon etc) and I can create and use it to upgrade an existing saber. The properties are applying (including saber name) but not the model?

I have attempted to emulate the method used in the USM mod pack, unfortunately the monkey see - monkey do approach doesn't seem to be working for me :(

Any ideas?

btw does anyone know if there is a Vader style hilt for K2?

Awesome... some nice sabers in that lot

Now for a really tricky question (for a n00b modder like me that is)

If I copy the mdl mdx tga and txi files to a new file name how do I change the blade color (eg if i wanted to have a blue saber using the mace windu hilt, or a violet saber using the dooku hilt... etc)

I have got MDLops (even though I have no idea how to use it)

btw, I think that is what went wrong with the other saber mod I was using... I changed the file names but I don't know how to change the texture/model association :(
