Well, the clone wars animated series has moved on from claiming canon for casualties, they're moving on to authors now too. Traviss is leaving because the new mandalore planet completely contradicts her vision of the planet.
as far as I know this is the first time an author has quit because of a canon issue.
I don't blame her. I hate when someone tries to step into my territory. It seems she has an issue with rewriting canon though... so it's a little funny that something like this would happen.
But on the other hand, The Clone Wars is a cartoon show... I think any author would be mad if their stories are being interfered with a (bad) cartoon show.
I must confess, I've seen more happy posts across various forums, than I have unhappy ones about this.
Guess that must be all the "Talifans". (Yeah, great way to win over fans who gave criticism.)
She just threw a tantrum over a minor detail. The depiction of Mandalore, and its capital city.
That's it, a planet. A planet that's a part of something she has neither control or ownership over.
If she was a man, I'd say "Suck it up, and grow a pair ffs!".
