Does anyone else think restricting force powers to armor is dumb? I think it is only for the reason that most force powers are used from the hands not body. I do like how it makes it more challenging and ive grown on the jedi robes very cool :)
I think it makes some sense, I mean, to use a force power with the magnitude of force lightning and such, you would have to draw immense power from your body, but...it is kind of strange that Bandon can use force lightning when he is wearing the armor that he is...
I think it is also to restrict you a bit. I mean, come on. You're wearing the best Armour in the game, as are Kreia and Visas, and you also have mastered Force Powers, you are nearly invincible!
lol very true yeah i never got that bandon is firing away...that was a hard fight on korriban tattoine *spelling* for me was the easiest place to fight him
I didn't make it!
it is appropriate that you cant use super armor with really good force in game because it would be too powerful. but in the star wars universe the force is very powerful. The Force extends beyond such silly physical limitations as what type of armor you are wearing.
Plus, how many Jedi or Sith do we see who normally wear armour?
Darth Bandon wore robes, not armour.
On the other hand, were I a Jedi or Sith, I would be using armour a lot.
I think one of the main reasons is that armour is restrictive - the more armour, the greater the restriction upon your full range of movement.
Even theoretical Powered Armour would still be restrictive.
Sith/Jedi wearing armour of any sort other than robes could be seen as a possible sign of weakness or over dependence upon external methods of protection.
Actually, a Jedi in armour would be ideal. Just like Yoda, Dooku and Palpatine use the Force so they can move even with their old age, Jedi should be able to move around even with armour when using the Force.
And they would then become shit at their defensive and offensive capabilities.
2 Force sensitives, 1 in armour, 1 not.
Battle commences, the one in armour is over confident and loses.
The Force might allow Jedi/Sith to enhance their physical abilities, but wearing armour would just make that a compensation for the armour, whilst Jedi/Sith without armour get the full benefit of the physical enhancement.
This would be especially true against multiple opponents
A man wearing a suit of armour loses to a man whom does not wear armour.
