Guys in this star wars the old republic will have big choises :Mandalorians,Republic,Jedi Order,Sith Lords,Sith Empire. How will you join to profill you're saga :D i aways wanted to say that:lol:.Aw yeah i forget i think i will join the sith order dont ask why!
If I do end up buying The Old Republic, there is absolutely no way in hell that I'm going join the horde of Sith Lord-Wannabees right away. No thanks. I'm gonna stick with a Jedi Knight and it will probably be one of the most original decisions in the game for me to make as I don't really expect to see many of them around. As for a Starter Class Idk. I'm hoping there will be a Free-lance Mercenary Class or if not that a Bounty Hunter.
Incidentally though, if I do end up somehow getting pulled in by the Power of the Dark Side and going Sith I'll probably pull an 'Amnesiac Revan' which is to start out working for the Republic and then conveniently betray the Republic and the Jedi and switch allegiances when the time is right so I can begin putting my plans into motion to bring down the so-called True Sith Empire from within and claim my rightful place as Dark Lord of the Sith and in turn, forge my own Sith Empire in the wake of Chaos that follows. I desperately hope this attempt has some subtlety to though as I'd hate to see my plans turn into a senseless Grindfest.
Yeah, its a Pipe-Dream, I know. But hopefully some of this will be possible at the very least and I also hope that Korriban will be accessible to all Players because the new Valley of the Dark Lords and that Sith Pyramid look absolutely stunning. :saber:
I also thought about some names I wanna use too.
Light Side: Sig Ragnar
Dark Side: Set Abominae or Darth Abominae
Hm point of the game is when you're a sith you will become a sith lord and there will be much battles when you're a sith.
The Republic and Jedi are the same faction. As are Sith Empire, and Sith Order.
The only two factions available are the Galactic Republic, or Sith Empire.
actully, the sith lords and jedi are seperate factions. read the info on the offical site.
Afraid not. Whilst they have seperate listings, they are both part of their respective faction. I regularly visit the official site, and the forums aswell.
However, if you can provide a link from Sean Dahlberg or another Bioware representative on the site that shows Jedi Order and Sith Lords being a third and fourth faction, then please do.:)
Jedi Order - Galactic Republic. Sith Lords - Sith Empire. Both are "specialist" sections of their faction, but not seperate factions.
It basicly boils down to the same as WoW, with Alliance and Horde, or most appropriately SWG with Imperial or Rebel.
Remember, it's playable factions, as in those you join and "hold allegiance to", as opposed to just doing random jobs for.
Watch this interview and you'll find out that what I mentioned is entirely possible. 6:37 to 7:26. Here's the Link. YouTube - Star Wars: The Old Republic Revealed (KotOR MMO, Oct 21st, '08!) ;)
They haven't yet said anything about faction switching, but that they're separating the idea of faction, and alignment.
Good Sith, bad Jedi etc. Whether or not they'll allow faction switching is still up in the air at the moment, but it would certainly allow for RP'ing the whole "amnesiac Revan" scenario.
Its not like I would want to copy Revan though. How lame would that be. I'd just like to fall to the Dark Side in a way that is similar to his Non-Canon fall to the Dark Side in KOTOR but with much more subtlety. I really hope it works out. But the one thing I hope I never have to see again is all the common thuggery of KOTOR.
Please help me my home is on fire!
1. Gimme all your Credits if you want to live! 2. Time to die sucker!
There's just no way any realistic fall would be like this.
Well, since it's an MMO, and it's Bioware, and so far a PC only release..... I kind of doubt they're going to be having things so blatant or thuggish, as was the case in conversations in KoTOR & TSL.
Mass Effect and preview footage of Dragon Age, showed what Bioware is capable of when not just doing something in a simple way. That, and they know how to do the more ambiguous of choices for conversations and actions.
