Bane wiped out the Brotherhood by using his subterfuge not his skill. The Thought Bomb was beyond him, so he conveniently gave his knowledge of it to Brotherhood of Darkness to unknowingly kill themselves with. The price to be payed for running a Sith Democracy I guess, eventually someones gonna disagree with it.

A good allusion comes to mind here.

Zeus may have given Pandora the box but she was the one who opened it.

Granyaski;4764025well then....by using that information we know Bane has the upper hand, he wiped out the brotherhood.

Revan_1990's right about Bane's method of wiping out that poor excuse of a Sith Order. It wasn't skill or strength, or power.

All it means is that we know more about Bane than we do Revan.

I'd love for there to be more information about Revan, about what he was capable of with the Force and Lightsaber, how proficient he truly was with them. Was his ability with both at a level of mastery that rivalled known masters of other timeframes, or only of his own?

It's not that I hate Revan as a character, it's that I hate the way he's perceived by so many people, without valid information to back it up. With TSL, we know what at least four Jedi Masters were capable of with a Lightsaber, because they taught those skills to the Exile, but only because that was created for the game itself.

With Revan, we know that he was certainly capable of Force Choke, but to what level? How proficiently could he use it? We know Malak could use Force Lightning, and can surmise that Revan could use it during his brief tenure as a Sith, but again to what level?

People forget, that it's not just about what "Jedi X" or "Sith Y" could do, but how well they could do it. Dooku could use Force Lightning, but not to the same level as Sidious could.

Thank you! But there's no need to be sorry. :) When I first became a fan of Revan I wasn't all that different from what many people call a "Zealous Revanite" but when you stick around in a Forum as great as this you tend to pick up a lot of useful knowledge that any true fan can't just ignore, so I came to accept it and I've pretty much moved on now. But sometimes I just can't ignore the call of defending Revan haha. I guess some things will never change.

My my, a random fanboy fight... I vote for Bane, because in a duel, he would defeat Revan on equal ground. Bane was damn strong physically, was naturally strong in the dark side, had a cunning mind.(he wiped the Brotherhood with his wits-which is better) As much as I prefer Revan over Bane in like everything, Bane would still kick Revan's ass. First, there was an overrated Kyle Katarn, then Revan, now Starkiller... poor poor fanboys...lmao
