The above title might sound noobish and heard often, but I don't know the answer and haven't found one.
Both the FAQ on this forum and the Cheats section at the KOTOR site at filefront tell me to press either a combination of ` and ENTER to open the cheat console (which is invisible, right?). However, contrary to the latter site's description, " If the console is activated, you will know as your character will stop moving", my character does not stop moving. Entering cheats only results in flipping through the character, map, item, etc screens. Is my KOTOR broken in any way?
Additional Info running Windows 7 (no issues with playing out-of-the-box, luckily) swkotor2.ini modified, as instructed by FAQ Almost new game (profile), still on Peragus

Try pressing CNTRL+SHIFT and then the said combination. If that doesn't work, might I ask if you use different keyboard language settings or not?

Before you can use the console at all, you must go into swkotor2 configuration file. Directly under [Game Options], enter EnableCheats=1, then save. If you did this correctly, then you should be able to use the cheat console in-game. If that fails, then the problem lies in what key combination you are using to open the console. Personally, I recommend the Savegame Editor, which you can Download here. It is so much easier to use than the in-game cheat console, and can do so much more.
Yes, thanks. The savegame editor is much better (and you can see it). Thanks a lot. :)
You very much welcome. It's always nice to be able to help someone.
I relay on Cheat mode if I can't seem to use it even when I put in EnableCheats=1 on Kotor2 file
Like I said before, I recommend that you use the Savegame Editor, which you can Download here.
