Alright ive played both KotOR games beat them, then deleted them w/e. But now I reinstalled them again becuase im bored and waited to play them again. Neither work =s. My problem is this, I can start the game up and everything fine but when I get to the main menue if anyone remembers theirs normally someone standing their depending on how far you are in the game. Newbs have Sion, then its Nihilious or w/e and then kreia or yourself. But I got no one. when I try to make a new char. the 6 Slots for the diffrent classes, their are normally people their too. No one's their. and when i ignore all this and make the char anyways and start the game. It crashes, idk wats wrong only thing i can think of is my Vid card sux. This is my Vid card --> ATI Redeon 9550 /X1050 Series. However ive played KotOR before with this vid card so idk what happened.
In the last time, the problem with both KotORs handling graphic cards with new drivers has become a big one. If you have installed new drivers, it's possible all that which you described is due to that. Try rolling back your driver, might just be the thing.
Ok ya I downloaded the driver for my Vid card from the internet when my newer on burnt out. But idk what Rolling back my Driver means =s.
I just meant switch back to an older driver. You usually can do that in your graphic card manager. (Or however that is called in English, I'm sorry I don't know. The thingy for your graphic card in your control panel.)
Alright, =s sense im a complete nab at this crap im ganna need a lil help on ''How'' to switch back to an older one. Do I use the ''Restrore to Factory defualt''? or wat :S p.s. Sorry if im being a bother xD
you ar not being a bother, you need to find your "system recovery disk" every computer comes with one. it restores your computer back to it's original condidtion. it's a last choice option for fixing a PC because it deletes everything on the hard drive BUT you can choose to save the files you have on them Just pop in the disk & let it run, it will ask if you want to save owners files say yes. it will then restore you computer back to it's original staus. and you can keep all your hard drives files & things.
Way easier. Go to your control panel, which can be found in the right half of your "Start"-menu. Open up the "Printers and other hardware"-category. On the left of the new window, there should be a pc with a checkmark on the screen and it should read "System" next to it. Click on that. In that new little window that opens up after that, go to the tab "Hardware" and open the "Device Manager". Search for the "Graphic card"-section. Open the node, click on the name of your graphic card once and then on the "Properties"-button (on top of the window, the hand pointing to a sheet of paper). In the new window that now comes up, switch to the tab "Driver" and click on "Installed driver".
See? Easy, isn't it?
Well thanks for all your help. But it still doesnt work, I'll just need to get a new graphics card then ='(... Oh well ill need one for the new The Old Republic mmorpg game soon anyways xD.
