Sorry for another post... I've re-installed the game onto my laptop and it always gives me this: Please remove disc from current CD/DVD drive and insert the original disc in another drive ?:. Why does it tell me that? I have Windows Vista if it helps...

You know, I feel like everyone has different problems with KotOR2 when it comes to Vista... It's annoying, too, cos then you don't know what will work with you. I've spent the whole day trying to fix this..

lol You again.. Ok, I searched for it on TSL Windows Vista Fix, Knights of the Old Republic 2 Downloads, Knights of the Old Republic 2 Patches and I will get to d/ling it... hopefully it works :( Thank you so much again. [edit] Ok now it is saying it can't find the program... It does this when I try to d/l rar programs, too. Is there a program I need to get the patch to work? If it helps it says the file type is unknown, and Windows does not recognize the file type.

Yes, I am using a laptop. Earlier I had d/led WinRAR and then 7-Zip. It keeps immediately connecting to WinRAR and I'm unfamiliar with 7-Zip. I will figure this out eventually... Thanks for all of your help guys. I really appreciate it.

I think the problem is with the Mss32.dll. It always says something like: This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel. Also, what do I specifically do with 7-Zip?

Here's what to do: 1. Uninstall K2. 2. Insert K2 disc one, but do not autorun it. Exit the menu. 3. Go to Computer, open (don't autorun) the disc, and run swkotor2.exe as administrator. 4. Install K2. 5. Download the fixed Mss32.dll (google it; I believe there's one on FF). 6. Move the file to your SWKotOR2 folder, replacing the old one (click "allow", "continue", etc. when Vista asks you to). And that should fix everything--every problem that's caused by Vista, anyway.
