I recently reinstalled both Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2, and I've come across a couple of issues, and thought I'd ask if anyone had solutions (that I haven't yet tried).

My main issue is wasd and mouse 1+2 locking up after combat (this doesn't happen with pre-arranged scripted events like against the Handmaiden Sisters on Telos). I know the usual solution is vsync, but vsync makes the game feel sluggish.

Is there any other solution to this that people have come across, or is having vsync enabled the only way to fix this issue?

I had the exact same issue. As I had just downloaded the Restored Content Mod, I thought it could be a mod-compatibility issue. Glad to hear that it's not.

Does anyone know how to resolve this? I'll admit I'm ignorant and don't know what "vsync" is or how it affects KOTOR.

Well, I forced VSYNC on and the issue went away. Guess that's what was causing it.

KOTOR 2+ Windows 7=disaster.

The game has enough bugs in it already and it just does not work together. You can go through every single problem troubleshoot by troubleshoot (ie google) or my advice would be to install another operating system or get them on the xbox.

Well it depends on what other elements the system is running also. I have both of the games installed on Windows 7 and neither have given me any problems. Not like they did with Vista anyway. THAT was horrible.

Also, if you force Vsync on, you're game is more likely to run a bit slower. Turning it on may help make it smoother.
