Okay so I've installed the game tried to run it without the patches, with the patches, in compatibility mode, as administrator, with the dll file replaced, my graphic driver is up to date - but it simply won't work. Or let's say: I do get into the main menu, but it looks like it freezes. After waiting a few seconds I realised it isnt frozen, just lags like hell, like fps = 0.1

I'm out of ideas, hope you guys have any

Any help is appreciated!

Atra;5418678...in compatibility mode, as administrator...

In addition to that, have you tried disabling Desktop Composition?

What graphic card do you have? ATI or NVIDIA?

Hmm... Your graphic card does not appear to be listed at the NVIDIA driver download site. Are you sure you didn't leave any part of it's name out?

Also, what kind of a computer do you have? Desktop or laptop?

I don't have Windows 7 nor any of the KotoR games, so I can't do any experiments with the drivers, but if you're willing, you can try experimenting by yourself. Old games tend to work better with old(er) driver versions, so if you don't mind wasting some time installing and uninstalling drivers, you can try different older versions. One of them might do the trick. That's assuming you can get older drivers, of course. If you choose to do this, make sure to use only Windows 7 64 bit drivers.

Another thing you could try would be to set the game to use only one CPU core. Do you know how to do that?

yup, it was set to use on one core, so I tried running it with all four cores, same result. I will try & look up some older drivers from around the game release

Keep in mind that going too far down the driver list will most likely hinder your ability to play new(er) games which require new(er) drivers. Maybe you can find some middle ground.
