(All the computer specs are given in the above^)
So, what exactly is the problem? Is there hope for what? :Puzzled:
What ever the problem is, I guess not: "Vid Card Status=Fail"
I'm going to guess that your problem is that you can't get the game to run on your laptop. As the diagnostic info says the graphics chip in the laptop fails to pass the requirements needed to run the game. As a result it's extremely unlikely you will get the game to work, and even if you did I bet it wouldn't play too well.
Yes it's too do with the Graphics card failing, which is very gutting that everything else is fine and i can't play due to one little piece. Which brings me to another question; I can't play KOTORII yet i can play Sims 2, Sim2 Nightlife and sims 2 Open for business which has basicly the same systeams reqiements (Windows98/2000/XP, 1Ghz, 256MB RAM, 1.5GB hardspace, 32MB Graphics card with T&L Capabitly, Direct X 9.0) pretty good on Lowest graphics ( the only issue is when switching from day to night or vice vessa it lags heavly or stops complety then switchs to night or day suddenly and carrys on as normal)
Heres an Image of the readout, I've fixed the open GL part. I doubt i'll be able to play the game on my current systeam but any cheap ways in i'll take.
[editedby="Graeme"] Also how do i roll back from pixal shader 1.3 to 1.1 cause lego star wars wont run without 1.1 and i have 1.3 (weird i know)[/editedby]
Just because one game (Sims 2, in this case) works, doesn't mean all other games with the similar system requirements have to work as well. You have a graphic chip integrated on the motherboard. Integrated graphic solutions are not good for gaming, regardless of what the manufacturers and/or salesmen say.
You didn't specify what kind of a computer you have; desktop or laptop. If it's desktop, you can simply buy a proper graphic card. If it's laptop, you can't do anything. Laptops cannot be upgraded.

Pixel shader support is embedded into the graphic card. It's a physical piece of hardware, not a software. You can't just upgrade / downgrade pixel shader support like drivers. You'd have to buy a graphic card that supports pixel shader 1.1 to get what you want.
I see no hope then, i have a laptop which has (when i pull it apart when i thought it was dead) bit and bobs which can be removed (i have a old NEC Versa A2100) When you talk about Pixal shader i use to run Lego star wars a few months after i got the computer and now it wont run ( 5 years later)
All I can say is this: Buy the new computer. Desktop, this time. Laptops are fine if you want mobility and/or don't have enough space for a desktop computer at your home, but they cannot be repaired nor upgraded. So, when it comes to gaming, desktop is the way to go.
As for the pixel shaders, any game that requires version 1.1 to run, should work on a version 1.3 as well. If it doesn't, the problem could be of a hardware nature. Perhaps your graphic chip is dying. :clueless:
Yeah i'm stuck with Laptops for now as i'm always on the move/ don't have the room for a desktop.
As for pixal thingly what you said about the Graphic chip dying. Probely more then likely ae, i've given this thing hell in the last few years and it's no surpise it's age is catching up on it, alot of pieces of hardware are missing i've been having probleams when reinstalling some games i use too have.
Thanks for the help.
