so i took the advice to re-install the game, and teh re installation went fine but it can't find data5.cab in disk four - whenever i get to that it says it can't find it what should i do?

Make sure disk 4 is clean.

Yep, make sure disk 4 is clean, and check it for any bits of dust or any scratches.

To avoid problems with the installation disks, I just copy the contents of each disk to a separate folder on the computer (i.e. "DISK 2" "DISK 3" "DISK 4"). That way all you need to worry about is the primary disk. It saves a lot of time and energy.

I can't install either. It keeps freezing my computer, and I tried on all my desktops, and the damn thing keeps freezing, so I gave up.

Check out Yoda's Help Desk (LucasArts support). I think you'll find that there's an answer there (which has actually already been suggested here, I think).

I had the same problem the first time I installed. It's quite annoying, I know.
