Hey all,

The long and short of it is I'm basically checking to see if any DoW / W40K fans have any interest in do-it-yourself screen printed shirts. I've noticed a vast lack of fan merch. and with my fiancee starting screen printing, I figured I'd see if she could do a W40K shirt for me.

The current and only design is of a Necron Warrior crawling (from the codex) with text underneath that reads "Death Has Come for You". Of course it's black & white, but I suppose other inks could be used. The shirt is not yet finished, but the process has started: she's got the stencil ready to ink on a shirt.

If there's sufficient interest in this or other 40K shirt ideas, I'd love to hear about it. Since she has a day job productivity is very limited and the process is moderately expensive and time consuming. She has been doing other shirts / clothing items with screen printing, most prevalently of the Dark Knight movie, trying to cash in on the craze. All of her items are posted on eBay.

Though the vast majority of her items are in women's sizes, if there's sufficient demand, I don't see where she'd have a problem producing W40K shirts and in men's sizes as well.

Again, I'm just gauging for interest. Personally, I'd love it if there were more 40k merch available like various size figures, posters, and what-not. Alas there is none to be found.

Anyway, I'm sure there would be questions, other issues, so feel free to ask here or PM me, and I'll answer when time allows.

this would be amazing except that im pretty sure that the blacklibrary.com already sells them. there are some really cool eldar black and white pictures that would look wicked on shirts, if you want me to show then ill post them later.

Uhm, well I'm not sure if it's such a good idea to sell merchandise with copyrighted content of either GW or relic.

It's not a good idea to be selling t shirts with copyright protected logo's designs etc without the copy right holders permission, you could open yourself up to some serious lawsuits and prosecution.

you can easily make your own designs, you can get iron on transfer paper which you can run through any ink jet printer.

you just make your design or scan an image, edit it with what ever graphics program you have and print out onto the transfer paper, then it's just a matter of ironing it on to the t shirt.

you can get 2 types of paper 1 for dark colored t shirts and 1 for white t shirts.

More of a Table Top Discussion I think. I know you've mentioned DoW, but generally, this is about the genre, and not the game. :) :moved:

As I understand it, according to eBay rules, so long as a seller is not claiming an item is "official merchandise", or claiming it as their own design (logo's, etc.), then it's okay. If anyone wants, I'll post a pic of the Necron shirt when it gets finished this week.

Ebay may be okay with it. But Ebay is not GW and they have the ultimate say about their IP

If people learned to post in the correct forums, then there would be no need to move them as I understand it.
