Enlsavers are kinda like deamons but they take over phykers are get more to bring more in. Its kinda complacated. But they enslave things to do their work so on the TT they are very dangerous.

Yea I think they are the race that sorta defeated the necrons and conquered the galaxy the first time around

If they are like the Daemons, are they then like Warp entitys and part of the vast Daemon legions or something like different Chaos God servants, Bloodletters as for example.

You are wrong, enslavers did not defeat Necrons and they did not conquer the galaxy. They killed many sentient species and made C'tans starve, so Necrons went to stasis tomb. And after almost all sentient species were devoured or controlled or killed, they went back to the warp.

I think there were TT stats for them in an older white dwarf. They looked like floating Octopus if I'm thinking of the right enslavers.

This is from wikipedia:

In the fictional Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Enslavers are a race of aliens that inhabit the Immaterium. They are also known as Psyrens, Krell, dominators or puppeteers. Enslavers drift with the currents of the Immaterium, and are drawn to the psychic emanations of other creatures. Once a suitable psyker host is located, the Enslavers form a parasitic mental bond, which over the course of a few days will turn the unfortunate, mind-controlled host into a living warp portal, so that more Enslavers can enter the material universe and find new hosts. The Enslavers had their most profound impact on the galaxy in a catastrophic event known as The Enslaver Plague. As a result of the tactics employed in the War in Heaven, the Immaterium became greatly destabilized and a rush of Enslavers to the physical universe occurred. The Old Ones were wiped out and life in the galaxy became almost extinct. This included all the living creatures that the C'tan use as food, so the C'tan went into hibernation, along with their Necron armies, to wait for the galaxy to become repopulated. The Enslaver's body consists of a spherical lump trailing tentacles. The Enslavers can change their body color at will, and float up to three meters above the ground.

Ah ha see I was half right

EDIT: See here's the part on the conquering galaxy bit, I didnt mean rule the galaxy I meant they killed everything

From Wikipedia: After countless years of slaughter, and the destruction of the Old Ones, as well as most of the lesser races they created, there was little life left in the galaxy. The countless rifts into the warp caused by their battles allowed various powerful entities to pass through, most dangerous of all being the Enslavers. The Enslavers killed billions. Though they had no effect on the C'tan or the Necrons the toll on the C'Tans food source was immense and the C'Tan withdrew into stasis tombs to be guarded by their immortal slaves. There they would wait for close to 60 million years, until the Enslavers had left the and the galaxy was teeming with life again.

When I said sorta defeated the necrons I mean they killed everything before them which caused the crons to go hybernate. In the book the nightbringer a necron ship is fighing hundreds of enslaver ships but eventually pulls back into the planet for hybernation, despite taking a huge toll out the the enslavers
