If they made a Warhammer film (they wont). should it be animated, acted, cartoon, etc.
Acted, cept they should tone down the armor so actors could actually wear it. it would be sweet
I dunno, if they toned it too much it might look kinda bad, so maybe it'd be better if it was animated...

i'd say 3d animation like the intro movie of DoW, that's what fits best to it.
I think computer generated would be the only way to give a Warhammer 40k movie any justice.
Chronicals of reddic will be the closest you will get
could be good but i think actors would be pretty cool, as for armour wise i think they should only have the "main" actors with head shown (like a sargent or caption etc.) having said that it would be pretty difficult to have a dready on screen and to this i say CG EM!!!!!
Am I the only one that felt cheated when Winter Assault had no intro? None? Nada? I thought it sucked :-( I got spoiled off of DoW's. Q4 has a real good one too...they should bring back CGI movies, just because Final Fantasy blew chunks doesn't mean others wouldn't be good, especially since the tech. has advanced so much.
Haven't seen intros for DoW etc., but its got to be either computer generated or manga-stylee to do any justice. Plus, whatever film they made folk would bitch cos 'Eldar/Tau/SMurfs/Necrons/Chaos(insert army here) weren't in it enough, and I think they ROCK!!'
Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum. Browse it now and then when checking up on DoW files. However, I saw this and I decided I'd finally post something.
Firstly, I agree Devldawg - I did feel cheated that they didn't include a new CG intro with WA. I was totally expecting to see hundreds of IG forces trudging through the snow, on their way to the next fight, only to be ambushed by a horde or orcs/chaos. I suppose they made up for it with a pretty decent expansion pack and two (albet short) campaigns.
And as for a Warhammer 40k movie, well... Its a huge, huge universe. I've never played TT, but I read plenty of the books and did a far bit of research into it (I was more interested in the story and background) and there are literally hundreds of intriguing characters and stories - picking the perfect one would be difficult. You'd have to find something that would appeal enough to an audience to generate enough money to make a second, and third, and so on. Choosing a media would come second.
Though, I pick animation. It would be -perfect- for the Warhammer universe. And if you haven't seen it, the second Final Fantasy film, Advent Children was in-fucking-credible. It looked and breathed Final Fantasy 7 all over again, while looking 100x better then the previous film.
It hasn't been released in the US yet, but it will in January I believe.
