I got my paws on it, right here, right now...no questions regarding how or asking for it please. :smokin: Obviously starting a Greenskin Horde before this simply MARVELOUS codex is released. Just post your questions and I will do my best to answer.

For starters, the Shokk Attack Gun is back. :D Those of you who don't know what a SAG is or what it does, it's quite possibly the most awesome gun evar. So awesome, in fact, that it's cost is nearly twice as much as the Big Mek that carries it.

shokk attack gun!!! yeah ive sen the model, but gimme rules!!

First off, the poster after this said you need Snotlings to fire the gun. Fluff-wise you do, rule-wise you don't. I myself am gonna cover the Big Mek who's carrying this weapon's base with Snotlings. :p

Rules:

Range: 60" Strength: 2D6 AP: 2 Type: Ordnance, Large Blast On a roll of a double or 11 for the gun's Strength, consult the chart below for effects: 1,1 - BOOM!: Basically the gun explodes and the Big Mek anything within D6" around him are REMOVED from the game. 2,2 - OOPS!: Opponent may choose the target of the Shokk Attack Gun this turn. 3,3 -GAH!: Misfire and shoots target unit closest to the original target unit, friendly or not. 4,4 -SPLOOSH!: Snotlings explode! Use the Small Blast Template with stats Strength 6 AP 6 5,5 -ZOINK!: Fires the Big Mek instead of a Snotling! Move the Big Mek into base contact of the target unit, counts as charging. 5,6: - BZZAP! - Only the model underneath the central hole is hit, at Strength 10. 6,6: - RAARGH! - Any model hit by the gun this turn is REMOVED from play. Vehicles take auto-penetrating hit. Also, the fact that this is carried by a independent character (yes, HANDHELD, lulz) makes this one of the toughest guns to get rid of in the game. Who cares if my Big Mek has a 6+ save when you can't hit him? The only downfall is that you have to choose between this lovely beast that is the SAG and the Kustom Force Field. :(

aw dude... beyond insanity... thanks, im officially starting orks!!!! wat? a shokk attack gun or a 'k'ustom force field... BAH! =p take a uge gun! all your losing is a 5+ inv save... It sounds like an awesome weapon. After seeing the new ork minis i'm planing on them being my next 40k army.

The original rules had Snotlings running through a warp corridor and if the Shokk Attack Gun worked correctly snotlings would manifest inside the target be it vehicle or Infantry. If it went wrong you would have snotlings teleporting all over the place. How fun does that sound :lol: I stopped playing many years ago but I still keep up to date. So your opinion that I am 'jaded' is slightly off. There weren't even rules for the SAG after the first set was discontinued for a very long time.

The SAG isn't an absolute must, IMO. Just a nice asset you can add to your dakka.

Also, the book is arranged like the Chaos book, but for Orks it somehow works, IMO. Sure, lots of page flipping but now it's easy to reference what you need thanks to many indexing. Also consider this book may well be ~150 pages by the time they add Klan Rules and model pictures. (Klan Rules were indeed confirmed @ many-a GD.)

Your HQ choice can really dictate the feel of your army. Like stompy? Get a Warboss and you can take more Nobs. Like dakka? Get a Big Mek and you can take more Dredds. Like insanity? Get a Weirdboy.

I kinda got that but the damage dealt/deaths for the original were more fun. It's an opinion. The new one looks sweet anyway. I have a 5000 point ork army at the minute, a dusty one, maybe i'll dig that out and get the new codex and see what a to do I can do.
