OK, i'm a bit confused with the difference between single handed weapons and two handed weapons. Can you CARRY AND USE both a single handed and two handed weapon? In other words can I use a two handed weapon one turn (say a storm bolter) then a single handed weapon the next or same turn (like a bolt pistol)? Thanks for all your help.

the diference between a two handed weapon and single handed is a single handed weapon can be used to gain a extra close combat attack and can be shot and the u can assalt the next turn but two handed weapons can be shot the next turn if they are a assalt weapon like the storm bolter which is assalt 2 s4 ap5 but you don't get the +1 combat attack

Yes I understand that part but, what I need to know is if you can use the storm bolter to shoot then use the bolt pistol in close combat. Another example would be the chosen chaos space marines. They have a bolt pistol, close combat weapon, and a bolter. Would they be able to shoot the bolter (if it weren't rapid fire) then assault in close combat using the bolt pistol and close combat weapon to gain the extra attack?

Yes you do get the extra attack with a bolt pistol and chainsword even if the Chaos Marine fired his bolter. It would be like the Chaos Marine fired his bolter and charges into CC holstering said bolter and grabbing his bolt pistol & chainsword to have a better standing in CC.
