Although we know that the Astartes recruit from numerous worlds, why have I never heard of a CADIAN SPACE MARINE?... So post here and reply on why that may be..

They only recruit from certain worlds. Most have something that needs to make the population extremely big/hardened like an other atmosphere ore constant heat ore cold. All space marine recruits are giants (even when scouts) normal sized humans are never recruited. Also the people in wh40K are slightly bigger. Cadia is (I believe) a pretty "normal" world, and therevore not good for recruitment. Also because the extreme chaos influences on the population it would be to dangerous. SM bases are always build on shithole planets so the recruits can be trained by simply going outside, the population on this planet needs to harden itself aswell, making excellent recruits. That's what I think.

Not to mention that most SM recruiting worlds are extremely barbaric and most humans there tend be physically strong and large even before recruitment.

Not to mention that the lack of any technological or larger education is probably an asset as there's less to conflict with the knowledge insertion process.

I must say though, I've never heard anything saying there AREN'T Space Marines recruited from Cadia.

Though i must admit, Armageddon might be a better world to recruit from(comparatively speaking), they don't even have to go outside to train, just go to the Underhives. If they need to learn how to swim through seas of acid though, Then they can go outside.

Nothing wrong with Cadia, as it said in one of the rulebooks or codices "The Birth rate and recruitment rate are Synonymous"... Never said they were all recruited into the Imperial Guard. I wouldn't be surprised if there were Inquisitor Lords, Stormtroopers, Battle Sisters, Tech-Priests, or even an entire Battle Company of the Astartes from Cadia.

True, it's not the most hostile planet... Just a continuous war against the forces of Chaos on the surface. I still can't understand why they haven't had a massive outbreak of Nurgle Plague Zombies though, Or Genestealer Cults, Ork Waaghs... All in all, apart from the Cadian Gate, it's almost peaceful.

Remembering sometimes a single Space Hulk holds Genestealers & Hybrids, Orks, Chaos Marines...(If you believe Space Crusade)Androids and Dreadnoughts...

Just saying, even though they may be weaker compared to your average Fenrisian or Baalite recruit, they still could become members of the Astartes. Then again, i must remember that I've never heard of them even recruiting from Catachan, so it could be an Administratum decree against it.

No sane marines would recruit from hive worlds, least of all from the underhive. As those places are ridden with mutations.

Cadia is so resilient to Chaos thanks to necron pylons on it's surface. That's probably the only thing keeping it from getting swallowed by the eye of terror.

And I think they had nurgle zombies,

Excepting truly dire circumstances(For an example, my BA successors: just over 1 company left.) I'd agree. It seems the only time you'll ever see Astartes on a Hive World is during a Campaign...

I merely say that it is not totally impossible that there is one person in the 500 billion or so that inhabit the hive world that could become a Space Marine, Neither is it entirely impossible that a chapter could be in such terrible circumstances that they were Forced to recruit from the local population... Or that they just weren't that sane.

An empire of a million worlds, that has spanned ten thousand years... I believe stranger things have happened in the history of the Imperium of Mankind.

Then again, I'm one of those that believe that at least 1 member of the Squat race must have been on an imperial world during their destruction, so i'm hardly one to talk about being sane.

I haven't read it yet. Still on Horus Heresy: False gods. Still, wasn't Thaddeus(DOW2 Assault Marine Sarge) from an underhive?...

And don't the cadians have the best IG?... Also why don't they use the Kasrkins to create new space marines?...

Imperial Fists recruit from Necromunda one of the biggest sleaziest Hives of them all and Terra as Rayrayzza says.

But they seem to be the only ones that do from what I know of.

Hive worlds supply the back bone of troops for the Guard forces. Places like Cadia and Armageddon need all the man power they can get.
