I am collecting tyranids and it's getting kinda boring and want to ask if there are any not-tyranidish tyranid armies (that dont totally suck:cya: ). BLARH

If you want a shooty army its not hard with nids. Warriors for medium range fire, gaunts for short range, carnifexs for long range fire and anti tank. I've found that a Tyrant with Venom cannon, enhanced senses and toxin sacs is a great anti tank too, plus it can give close combat punch, especially with a retinue or tyrant gaurd.

What he said. They have a special thing about them that makes them good and you don't really get bored of them too easily, try em out and see if you like them.

No armys suck because of there all balanced its just that tyranids are basicly the best starting army for beginners thats why most pros dont use them

Well i thought the idea of tyranids was to get as many units into Melee as fast as possible to tie th enemy up, then blast them to bits with your ranges units (warriors, biovores and such). I think every 'light' tyranid ranged unit would be killed quickly unless you manage to tie the enemy up. Regarding the Tzeentch thing its just pronounced: Zentch (the first T is silent).

actually the second t is silent too. zench is the closest I can think of without really breaking it down.

Well if your still wanting a Tyranid army but more focused on ideals that are not tyranid then you need to play a different army or start messing around with the idea of converting call up gameworkshop and order some weapon bits for the tyranid army and cut em up and doctor them into different weapons like combine a venom cannon and the gun muzzle of a fleshborer and boom a tyranid sniper rifle that fires fleshborer rounds you know just mess around with choices and see what you can come up with for example my Guard have twin linked lasrifles and my Sniper is actually a converted catachan sniper, this was of coars before they came out with Cadian snipers If all else fails t rekindle your interest in Warhammer then try playing another army afterall tyranids are meant for begging players maybe its time you moved on to something more advanced like Imerial Guard or Dark Eldar
