I might be wrong but I think there are no such a states on terra...or never were. Well maybe if there was something like that between warhammer and warhammer 40000...but I doubt it. Someone might prove me wrong. Anyway this thread should be in tabletop.

I think after 41 millenia the tectonic activity of Earth would have driven the plates together and back over and over again so its probably on Pangea :D

Hello, i may have some kind of idea of the whereabouts of the Emperors palace, if you look at the picture of Terra in the V3 rulebook, you can notice that the Palace seems to be in the United Kingdom (or the equivalent to it now). Now i do not know if it is a refference to the fact that the game started there, and i may be wrong. Btw, i am sorry if my spelling is bad, as i am french.

The Imperial Palace is indeed in the area in which the UK (And the majority of Europe) would be. Also, I think it would take many million years for a new Pangea to occur again. One thing to think about though: All the Oceans are dried up. The Navis Nobilite (Navigators) has Australia and the surrounding area as it's home, and the Emperor's Laboratory is deep within the Hymalaian Mountians

NeCoHo is right: in the 41st millennium oceans are dried up. According to fluff the Golden Throne is not in the Imperial Palace (wich is only the High Seat of the Adeptus Terra at the moment) but on top of an arcane pyramid on the Moon's surface.

Yep, correct ^^ Isn't the Golden Throne a piece of necron technology used to feed the C'tan or something?

Did they change this in 5th Edition Fluff? As far as I knew, the Golden Throne in the Imperial Palace, and Luna was off limits to everyone, and acted as the head of the Sisters of Silence before the Heresy, and is not a massive defense structure.

The Emperor designed and built the Golden Throne. It has nothing to do with C'Tan.

I remeber reading it somewhere, but I can't remember where exactly :P Or was it build on top of an alien device, that was possibly c'tan-made?

Well, if the Golden Throne is a by-product of the imperium, isnt the pyramid it's on a necron made thing?
