It's simply because the Games Worshop big, corporate-minded head are cheap-arses. Face it, they ain't going to lower the prices, so simply collect or don't. Once again, fucking cheap-arses.

it's sort of a specialist industry. There are others out there but aren't as quality or whatever. the fans will always by so they can pretty much charge what they want. Might I Suggest, by some lead and learning to smelt your own. That might be cheaper in the long run ;)

If you made slight variations to them and maybe called them castle minatures then you should be ok.. called space marines Orbital troops and chaos marines Crazy Guys.. or whatever... I collected them about 12 years ago and they were expensive then in my eyes. But todays pricess are ridiculous.

actually the plastic is made form a type of oil.. when the metal is like tin and copper so as oil goes up Games-workshop will put their prices up as well.. it can be annoying yes but sadly Games-workshop is like a curse you can nether fully stop playing it

I did about 10 years ago. I enjoy the fluff but the game got boring.... beer was the future  if only my beer did this though :p Hmm, theres a thought, use the old beer cans.. re cycling as well, doing my bit for the environment. You used to be able to buy large box sets of plastic marines and orks where you could make like 30 or sommat like that and that was proper cheap.
