Was wondering if anyone could throw me some links on how 3-way SLi works. I know that SLi puts two cards to render everyother frame, bassically, 1 gets odds, one gets evens. This even makes sense with quad sli, 1a gets every other odd, 1b gets the other odds, and same with 2a and 2b. How does 3-Way work? It is not a question I really need answered and will solve no problem for me, just for the sake of my own knowledge. It would be appreciated.

SLI is actually pretty useful, especially since using it is the only way that you can achieve maximum settings in Crysis.

And what's wrong with Intel; other than they price some of their processor too high; and I'm really pissed off that I got stuck with an E6600 instead of an E6750. But that's my fault.

Let me ask you this... Would you rather use SLI or CrossFire?

Hey hey, ease up man, just teasing. And I didn't mean Intel was lame, just that I personally don't feel SLI chipsets are a better way to go than Intel ones, esp with Intel CPUs. Soon there will be 9800GTXs to quell all the talk of needing SLI to run Crysis well. I think in fact it is clear to see that Nvidia wanted many to think that way to boost the sales of SLI. Crysis is still a work in progress and by the time it finally is working as it should have been at launch the 9800GTX may very well be available. Hopefully all these 8800GTs Nvidia is selling will keep them from wanting to push back the 9800 release to further reap SLI profits. They no doubt had the ability to produce G92s near at the time of Crysis' release, which are not far from being the G94s we're now hearing about. SLI is largely a marketing game that uses Nvidia card release dates cleverly to it's advantage, especially considering they control it all themselves. Despite my frustrations with ATI over the last few years I would gladly welcome more competition from them on the market to help minimize this kind of hype that has people constantly bowing to Nvidia's every yank of their strings. They have become quite the puppet masters. What's sad though is rather than ATI having the gusto they used to, they've resigned to producing mid level cards claiming they can compete with multiple GPU methodology rather than just 2. They are on the one hand caving in single GPUs to the almighty green guys, yet acting like their way is somehow different because you can buy more cards for the same price even though Nvidia were the ones that brought this nonsense into the mainstream. Where is this going to end? I can see a few years from now cases being made that double as desks because you need so much friggin room for all the crap you put in them.

Omen, I was just bugging you.

Frankly, I haven't kept up with the newer technologies other than processors, RAM, and motherboard. By reading what you all have been talking about it seems that nVidia cannot make up their minds, and it's getting to the point of confusion that I just don't care to follow anymore.

And I hate to say it, but after using integrated ATI graphics, I have really come to hate the company. But that may just be their integrated shit that sucks so bad.

LOL, where has all the love for ATI gone? They had such a heyday with the 9600s/9800s and now everyone wants a 9800GTX, ironic isn't it?
