Hi everyone!

A very long time ago, I bought a Speaker-Set, containing 4 speakers plus a subwoofer. They are from Creative. There is actually one problem.. Only two of the four speakers work.

Now does anyone know why only two of the four are working? There've been always two who work, I've never "tried" to get all working. Well, I did actually, but it turned into nothing.

If I switch the wires of the speakers, the other two speakers will work. So the speakers aren't broken or something.

The soundcard I have is a "Creative Audigy SB".

Any suggestions or ideas? Thank you :)

Did you look at the settings? I think there are two places where you can set the amount of speakers: audio-configuration for windows and the Creative-software.

Correct.

Control panel > Sound and Audio Devices > Volume Tab > Advanced > Audio setup > set to 5.1

You also have to set the Creative software to 5.1 surround. The audio jack set up(on my PC) is usually Line-out: Front. Line-in: Rear. Mic: Sub. That's how i had to set up my speakers, but its not a Creative Audigy SB, so I'm not sure on the out-put connections.

Hope that helps

EDIT: Just had a look on the Creative web site for you. You may find this useful.

Hi guys.

Thanks for the quik responces. I've messed a bit here and I got the speakers working. This was the problem:

You also have to set the Creative software to 5.1 surround.

I've changed it to 4.1, and now it works :) So, thanks everyone!
