I'm not sure what the different is, but is getting a 7950GT for £194 worth getting than a 7900GS for £168 for playing Oblivion?

The GS will play it pretty well, but the GT could do it even better. Up to you whether the difference is worth the extra money. Both are good cards.

A 7900GS is a solid performer but for £30 you may as well get the 7950.

The extra 30 quid is probably worth it but only at higher resolutions.

I'd go for the 7950 becuase it has 512 mb memory and 24 pipes higher clock speeds vs the GS 256 mb meromy and 20 pipes @ slightly lower lower clock speeds.
