If you plan on running games etc. at very high resolutions (ie 1600 x 1200 or higher), I'd save the extra $100 and go with the 640MB version.

Yeah, if you want to game with the native resolution on a 22" screen (1680x1050 probably), the 640 should do better with everything at max settings.

IMHO you would be wasting $100 if you go with the 640 version, the difference is literally 2-3 fps at most, at high resolutions, and performance is worse at lower resolutions. I just don't think that justifies the price.

I agree, the 320mb will handle 1600x1200 well

Belive or not in some cases 320 is better than 640mb, like this one: VGA Charts - Tom's Hardware

Get the 640. I have the 320 & regret not getting the 640. It is ok, just not great. The difference is like 256 vs 512. You will need the extra memory if you want to up the in game settings.

Depends entirely on the resolution you plan to run your games at. If, like me, you use something like a 19-20" TFT that maxes out at 1280x1024 or similar then you'd be better off with the 320mb version. Any higher than that and you should give serious consideration to the 640mb or 768mb cards.

Just as an FYI, I chose the 320mb version since I own a TFT that runs natively at 1440x900. It runs pretty much everything I've thrown at it so far at max settings with ease, so it's certainly not a bad choice, but it will lack horsepower at higher resolutions.
