i posted on here a few weeks ago but since then ive never had chance to do anything about my computer but now i do so ive looked around the market and im going to upgrade my motherboard and graphics card these are my current specifications

Processor - AMD Atholon 64 3200+ 2.2Ghz Ram - 1Gb Graphics Card - Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb (Direct x 9.0c) I dont know where to find information on my motherboard or the wattage of my PSU

This is what im looking to upgrade too

XFX GeForce 7600GT 256MB PCI-E DDR3 = £124.49 Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe Socket 939 = £102.10

first off will the processor be able to run on that motherboard and will the graphics also?

is the it worth upgrading for that ammount of money will the difference be significant

also will i need to buy a new PSU to handle the new upgrades (i dont know the wattage of the one i use now)

Thanks!

First is your Athlon 64 3200 a socket 939 or a socket 754 CPU?

How many slots for memory on the system currently with the Athlon 3200 in it?

being you ahve a AGP video card Im guessing there is a good chance its a socket 754 in which case you will also need a new CPU with the A8N32-SLI.

The XFX 7600GT is a very good card for the price and will work well with the A8N32-SLI

Cpu is fine with mobo, V-Card is fine with mobo, PSU should be at least 350watt, worth the upgrade. Thats all that needs to be said.

Hmmmmm, I'd say that the PSU needs to be atleast 430watts. Those Nvidia video cards tend to suck up a hell of alatta power.

I have the 7600 GT thats been factory overclocked and the minimum is 350watt. However, a higher psu won't hurt.
