I have an interesting query...at least I think so... My voltage information never seems to be where it should...when it says +5, I'm at 4.x - and so on, it seems all my power reading are less then what it is supposed to be...at one time, while playing an RtCW mod, my alarm sounded. So, until I go out and buy a new stronger PSU, which wouldn't be until I pick up a new (better) CPU fan and upgrade my RAM, I was wondering if a feller could use 2 PSUs...One could be running the MoBO, while the other powers the peripherals...would I be setting the stage for a meltdown, or a thermo-nuclear explasion, or at the very least...a minor smoke show? Your thoughts on this?

Technically yes you can, but it requires a fair bit of effort and it's far more trouble than it's worth. As far as I know a PSU will never really report the exact voltage, so unless it's really low - in which case it probably wouldn't work anyway - you should be fine. Better PSUs will be more stable and closer to what they should be putting out (probably slightly above rather than slightly below) but what you're describing is normal enough.
