Okay so i gotthe a70 from cosair and it dindt quite fit my set up i just wish someone would of warned me it might not fit now is there i trick i could use to make it fit?

Forgot what MB you're using, but if it's the mounting bracket you mean you may not be adjusting it properly. This is an example of someone whom thought it didn't fit his ASUS MB, but he was installing it wrong: A70 bracket not fitting on Asus p8p67 - The Corsair Support Forums

I would assume since you've yet to reply back you discovered you were not installing it correctly?

I guess i wasnt i put my stock cooler on while i was really baked and wanted to play GTA 4 and i accidently droped a little thermal grease on my motherboard and now i think its fryed. :( But i got 3 year warrent on my parts. =/

Ouch, ya have to be careful with that stuff. If you're ever stuck wondering how to install or remove something just ask here and someone will help you out.

thermal paste wouldn't kill a motherboard unless its metal-based.

sounds like you might have done something else to it.

It has to be that, that killed my mobo becuase ive done notthing much to my computer for the past week. anyways my brother will install it for me.

Maybe you scratched or shorted the board while trying to put on the cooler?

could be a broken trace actually. Depending on the board, makers like to put a bunch of traces on the topside of boards for some reason.

well actually the board is not fried its just that im missing a speical screw for my cooler i looked everywhere for it and cannot find it would corsair give me a screw for free? I'll just tell them that it never came with 4 screws...
