My school has a lot of Acers, and they run beautifully, some of the best around in my personal opinion.

I have one, if you buy one you can bathe in but a small fraction of my incredible reflected glory and all round awesomeness. * The above statement may be factually inaccurate.

I had a acer aspire 3500 i think it was, i only had it for a year or two and in power socket the connector pin came loose (i try take good care of all my things) and stop powering it properly the short circuited and burnt out the motherboard. That last part might have been my fault for trying to keep use it though.

Im not sure if the connector pin coming loose is a common problem, might want to check it out.

other then that it ran fine and was a pretty good computer

And I know where you can find a great deal on a Good Acer computer/laptop. :D

At work, many thought that the Acer computers were barely decent low end PCs, until I spoke up. I'm more of a Panasonic Toughbook kind of guy, but hey. I haven't heard of any issues with Acer computers. Which is a stark contrast to say, Dell, Gateway, or Compaq. I wouldn't want a Compaq laptop. Instinct, reputation, styling, everything tells me to avoid them.

When it comes to Acer. I like what I see. I haven't used an Acer computer in quite some time, but they have a good reputation. Which is saying something for a "Cheap" PC.
